Default putting vinyl wrap on bike

i was lookin at getting some sadlebag lid protectors for my bike and wasnt sure about them. they look like they would wear the paint on the bag. I did come across a company that makes a clear cover that goes on the lid like a sticker but doesnt use adhesive, i think it uses static like wraps people are putting on cars. got me wondering and i searched the forum and didnt find anything. has anybody put a wrap on their bike with some kind of custom design? they do it for cars, trucks, and race cars why not a bike? might be a stupid idea but just curious, can you imagine a mossy oak or realtree street glide?

There used to be a sponsor that sold this stuff. People seemed to like it. He has been gone for a long time now.

one of the HD dealers by me has something like that. they have a lid that's all scratched and then the cover over 1/2 of it. looks like it would work...I was wondering the same thing

Yes it can be done and it does look good....there is a graphix company that i have done some work for covered a batwing and a tank for me once for some parade ........it was cool and it did not harm the paint at all.....My bike is all black with ghost flames and the wrap made it look like a big flag.........

edited...and from what the girl told me it was a PITA
