Bought the Avon grips for my 09 and love'm,I haven't had a chance to try out the PM's but I can say the Avon grips are far better than the old Kuryakan's that everyone used to rave over.

If you're talking about the PM grips, install on TBW is the same on the throttle side. Install on the clutch side is done by dimpling the bars at two points where you'll tighten the set screws into. Just to be safe I lightly coated the bars with silicone adhesive and then tightened the set screws down. Very simple install. Love the PM grips!

Hope this helps

I have the avons and like them very much. Very tacky and have lots to grab on to. Don't think they are made by the tire company though

Silicone sounds like a good idea. Only concern would be getting the grip off some day.

I've heated the old style adhesive with hair driers and or heat gun. I guess that would loosen the silicone if you were to change the grips.

I've also been told you can change the rubber on the PM grips with different colors.
Not for me but cool option.

I like the Avons. I looked at them side-by-side with the PM's.

Something me made me get the PM's. Probably because I've wanted them for so long.

it's a proven fact that people think if you spend more people think it makes the product better. they had a hidden camera show where they did a test on water that cost some exorbitant amount of money and told them it was this special kind of water. it wound up being tap water and they were pissed because they really thought it tasted better.
