Pinging issue
#11
It doesnt ping because I added fuel. I didnt need to back off the timing or add octane, I just added more fuel. Get it??

I get it completely (just dont add so much fuel as to wash the cyl), I was asking if MB had tried the additive as it would likely fix the issue until he can get it tuned on his fuel

But....you can actually start throwing too much fuel. It is a balancing act. Is the ping under full load, snap open the throttle in 6th gear at 3k? If so, it is entirely possible for an engine to ping if the timeing is too far advanced, the A/F is too lean or both. By pulling 3-5 degrees only in those cells and the cells immediately prior to when the pinging is actually recorded, it should not make the engine a "pig". I actually prefer to get the fuel where I want it for economy and adjust the timing to suit. Too much fuel can hurt economy and also hurt longevity of the engine.

Another thing is you are running the HQ's protuner and they do take time to dial in. How much time have you actually ridden there? I don't know if you are running a 2:1 pipe but with the 575's and a 2:1 you will see a lot of reversion at that rpm. My suggestion would be to get the bike tuned and then plug in the protuner. That will give it a chance. It may be timing, fuel or your ae table that needs to be adjusted. You just won't know until the ve tables are calibrated and the protuner has settled in. First pic is afr lines @ 40,60,80,100 TP,s after downloaded map. Second pic is after the ve tables are adjusted. Until these are straight you could be pinging @ 2750 and get 35mpg @ 3500. To me that's why any build should be broke in and tuned on a dyno asap.
