Default Ipod Connection Direct Connect To HK

Hello, does anyone make a direct connect from the HK head unit to the ipod bottom connectors so that it will charge and play? I have seen one company that you send your head unit out and for $85 they hardwire a 30 pin plug, but it does not do newer generation ipods/iphones.

Runs off the cigarette lighter, but it will do what you are asking - Kensington LiquidAUX for iPhone and iPod ($25 on e-bay).

That looks close, you would think someone would have made an adaptor that hooks in through the xm port or something.

I wonder if something from http://www.usaspec.com/ could be connected. Are there any car manufacturers who use HK units in their cars?

You can buy a 1' AUX cable from Amazon for a few bucks and just charge your iPod before you go out. I can ride all day with my iPhone and still have plenty of charge for phone calls/emails. If you have an iPod it should get even more battery time.

My Nano battery is weak and won't make it through the day. I have two cable variations right now:

1) the cigarrete charger cable into the bottom of the ipod and a 3.5mm male-to-male headphone jack which doesn't stay seated well all the time and I lose a channel.
2) a cable that runs from the ipod connector to the Aux port. Works great, but runs out of juice before the day's out.

Got one of the Kennsingtons on order to see if that works better.
