I've got the blue over black version. Saturday I put the "power package" from Fuel Moto on. My last 3 harleys have had V&H true duals so I was hoping I didn't make a mistake. I didn't, the look and sound is freakin' fantastic. Nice low rumble, no raspy at all. The factory headpipe with the catalyzers is a be-atch for heat. Strap a few hot dogs on your right ankle and you can cook lunch at a red light.
I was checking into different options before purchasing, for not far over a grand I got the head pipe, mufflers, stage one AC and pre-programmed Power Commander V with free shipping and no tax. Yay for me.
I was considering the V&H power duals because they would make descent back pressure over the true duals. The true duals worry me a bit becuase of the one super long exhaust pipe from the front cylindar that runs all the way to the back left side. But now I'm thinking that I'll die if I don't have that heavenly sound of true duals... Guess I'm not caring that much about the HP / TQ anymore; just have to have that awesome true duals sound.
So now I'm thinking of V&H True Duals and V&H High Output mufflers. I'll get a KN air cleaner upgrade. I'm on the bench with what tuning to go with. Granted a SE Race Tuner would permit me to do some good tuning when / if I get cams. But I might just get the V&H Fuel Pak like I used on my 07. I don't need a HP/TQ king... I just want it to sound bitchin!
