PS: I wanted to post up a picture of the salty limited,
...... Scary, thanks for wanting to share, but .... i for one do not wanna see pics of a brand new / salted up LTD. That's just too nice a ride. Wash'er up & then show us the true colors !
........ enjoy that sled !
I'll still wonder, thanks. You '09 guys never talk about the extra 30-40 pounds of the '09s. 'nor will I bother sharing my views on the '09's, that I found to ride much stiffer than my '08 IMO. I didn't buy my harley for its cornering prowess, can't imagine what satisfaction I'd get hauling a 900 pound bike hard through any twisties - esp. not when I have better bikes to do that.
Actually, I'd recommend to anyone thinking of paying for a trade to an '09 - if high speed handling is that important to you - to keep their older bike and use the money you would have spent to buy a used sportbike. I GUARANTEE that you won’t be sorry with your decision.
Stiffer? I didn't find that to be the case compared to my 07 flhrci. And you know if you are going to pay 20K plus for a motorcyle isn't it nice to know that you can drive it like a motorcycle when the urge grabs you. And I'm pretty sure that I wouldn't be very comfortable riding a sportbike for more than 10 minutes or so... and the only sportbike that I'd buy would have to be American, but Buell is dead.
Well folks I washed her up and she is ready for another salty road day tomorrow. I mounted my ram mount for my gps and I'm ready for another great day of riding. The weather folks are calling for 44 and mostly sunny tomorrow... I'm so hyped up!
One of the first mods I had done to her was to remove the ugly fender bumpers and to trade the stock tires for new dunlops without that little white stripe. I think it looks better; what do you think? Granted.. she isn't super clean, but she is good enough for tomorrows salt!
