Same color bike I ordered. Once my wife found out, I was almost black & Blue

John,

You are really adamant about no options. BUT one option you might consider is the ABS brakes. It could save your life down the road.

I get my Merlot/Red Cherry Limited on 2/10. I didn't want half the options on the limited either but the ABS brakes ($845), luggage rack, and chrome rims changed my mind (extra on the Ultra Classic). So for a few dollars more I get the bigger engine and some other goodies.

All the extra goodies come with the Limited so the are NOT added on options.

Lookin forward to February 10th.

Phil

I wish i never got the ABS. What a waste of money and a pita. They lock up too soon and the list goes on.

If the list goes on you need to get your ABS "FIXED".

Thanks, I appreciate your response and advice, but I don't want ABS on this bike. Just one more electronic gizmo to screw up.

I REALLY like the look of the chrome rims on the Limited too, but that's the only thing I liked more than the regular Ultra. I can do without the chrome rims & the other stuff for the much lower $$$ I'm paying for the Ultra.

I've also kinda backed off on the Merlot & Red colors and may be going with a solid red sunglow instead. I think I can get it for about $1500 less OTD than the custom colors. The deal I'm gonna propose is $20,750 + tax OTD. Having 6 dealers competing for business here makes for some great buyer leverage.

Thanks again and ride safe,

John

Default Limited Merlo

The sales book indicated a $1,200.00 increase for the Merlot. It was a misprint the difference is only $200.00 check the Harley site for the price.

Man if I were in the market for an UC right now this is what I'd be picking up. That thing is sweet!

With that said I've seen the merlot in the sun light and it is awesome!

Yeah, I caught that too, back when they first came out. The Loveland dealership sold a couple at that price and the poor chumps who bought them were never any the wiser. The dealerships are still giving customers the books with the misprint in them. I got one last week in Denver.

IMHO, it ALWAYS pays to do your homework.

IMHO, that thing's WAY too pricey for what you get. But to each his own.

I'm sure they'll sell all of them to rich guys to show off to their rich friends what they can afford to spend for a toy.
