Visited one of my local H-D dealers today.....and was surprised
The salesman that sold me my Ultra Classic told me they had a nice '08 Red Sunglow Ultra Classic for sale with 11,000 miles on it. He knew I have been interested in being the proud owner of another Ultra Classic. This is a very small dealership that also sells Honda and Yamaha bikes as well. I was surprised to count 5 new and 6 used Ultra Classic in their inventory this morning. I've never seen that many new and pre-owned Ultra Classics there before. I'm wondering if there are many other dealers in the same situation. Saw one of the new Convertables also. Nice looking bike.

I've been following my dealer's new 09 inventory since early August when the 10s came out. Around August 1 he had about 65 new 09s on the floor and delayed showing any of the 10s until some of the 09s moved. As of last week he still had over 20 new 09s, marked down $1000 to $1500 or so off MSRP. None of them are touring bikes.

There has been a lot of late model baggers traded in on the "new frame" baggers in the last year or so. Every dealer that I have visited in the last couple of months has had a load of '03-'08 Ultras and Road Kings. I'll betchu you better not offer the dealer you visited today $15500.00, unless ya want to ride a Red Ultra home!

I agree with Will. Ask'n ain't get'n. Also might depend on the goodies included. If it has a nice stage 1 set-up and a decent tuner along with some other cosmetics, that all adds up. Security is nice. ABS is a must IMHO.
