I'm impressed the Beads work

Had them put in the rear wheel about 5,000 miles ago....

you forget all about tire balance because you don't see weights

The beads definitely work. Never had them in my Harley but I use them in my BMW. The front tire on my K1200LT will start cupping at about 3,000 miles and as the miles pile up by 7,000 the high speed balance is screwed with traditional balance weights. With Dyna Beads it's still smooth. That's the real advantage of the beads. They'll maintain the balance as the tire wears.

This is great to hear. I've just started doing my own Service with a lot of good idea's from guy's on the forum. Keep us posted as to how hard it is to mount the E3's. I'm going to the E3's when I need tires. may as well save the $$ and mount them myself.

Could you post the HF numbers, esp. the wheel protectors. I couldn't find them on their site.

Also, did you mount the changer to anything?

Dyna beads are Great!!!My HD use to mount tires for n/c....then it went to $10, $15 and now it's $30.I could of bought a nice tire changer, but as solid as the new tires are, I'm still going to let my HD do it.

when i installed the e3s, i didn't use dyna beads, or wheel weights and they run smooth. i can imagine that with the beads, they would be even better.

I tried the E3's, i think i'm the only one here that did not like them. Compound was to hard and very low traction in rain and after installing the tires the steering was very sensative and with a little wind i would get a tail wag. Went back to the original dunlops, problem resolved. I also run the beads, great stuff.

Default beads

The beads mask the problem. True, you don't feel a vibration, but they don't balance the tire. They disrupt the induced freqency (hz) so it never matches the natural frequency of the bikes suspension. People still use them because in most cases they will make the ride feel smoother. If you want the best results, true the assembly so you have 0 runout. Then add or remove weight so the rotational force is 0. Every now and then we will get someone in our Vibration diagnostics class that brings up the subject of the beads. When they get a chance to run the test and see the results, they go away with a better understanding of what is actually hapening. So if your using them and you are happy, congradulations, your happy.
