Default Oil cooler

Does anyone have any before and after numbers on an HD premium oil cooler for touring bikes?

The oil cooler will bring engine temps down anywhere from 15 to 30 degrees, depending on ambient emperatures and state of tune of the bike. Well worth the investment in my opinion.

Do not expect to see these temp drops in slow/stop and go city traffic as the oil cooler needs airflow for it to work at its best.

In Sept. 2009 I went on a road trip with a buddy. We were both 2 up. At the time I had a 2004 Road King with a 95" 10 to 1 build and a Jagg 10 row vertical oil cooler.
He was on his 2007 Road King that is bone stock. (really!)

Temps thru Gila Bend, AZ. and into El Paso, TX. were well over 100 degrees.

We both had the dip stick oil temp guage.

My bike was consistently 30 degrees cooler that his.

I can't help but think the Jagg Vertical will do a better job than the HD horizontal. Just wondering if it's worth the extra bucks.

Isn't there a fan you can get that will attach to the cooler for slow or stopped traffic?

I have the 10 row horizontal from Jagg. Depends on the type of riding but overall about
20-25 degrees cooler.

Anyone try one of these yet? Looks like it would solve the stop and go issues too.

I have been looking at the Ultra Cool because it has a built in fan. A little bit more expensive but looks like it would be worth it.
