Thumbs down

I don't have numbers but I will say this; I never had a heat issue with or without the premium cooler but the hoses blew three times in the two years that the cooler was on the bike. Finally I told the service department at Twin City HD to take it off. It cost me plenty of money in towing and head aches. Never again.

FYI; The dealership did the original installation too!

HD oil cooler on my '09 RG.
Wish I had before/after numbers just so I knew if it made a difference.
I pull a trailer, so I look at an oil cooler as insurance.

I've never used one and don't see any reason why I should. Wife and I rode two up from Florida, through Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, Virginia, Tennessee and back for two weeks last July / August. If figure if I did that with no issues, I'm good to go. Don't mess with it if it ain't broke!!

I tokk my RG to the Blue Ridge Parkway this past summer and it got hotter than I remember my old bike getting. As soon as I can afford it I will be getting one.

Had the cooler installed on each of my last three bikes. No problems and no issues. Does make a difference and recommend.

Before I added the cooler, I had about $130. After adding it I didn't.

Put it on last spring and rode through the summer. Lots of 100+ days here. My bike never went into heat management. Its my daily driver and I do hit traffic here in Houston. The cooler doesn't help if your sitting but you start sitting at a cooler temp and you cool down faster once you move. I think it made a big difference.

Let see now, if I get

oil cooler -25 degrees
syn oil -25 degrees
fuel mgmt -25 degrees
remove lwrs -10 degrees

...my engine won't even get to proper operating temp.
