Default Condensation In the gauges

I have an 06 Electraglide Standard with the full gauge package. When I start The bike in my garage in the cold weather and let it run a bit condensation builds in on the inside of the glass on the gauges. I installed the chrome ring packages for the gauges this fall, just got the bike in Oct. Does this happen to anyone else or is it because of the chrome rings? Thanks

It is actually a common issue. There really is nothing that can be done. Mine actually seem to be staining on the inside of the lenses. Has nothing to do with the trim rings.

I get it in the fuel guage when I wash the bike or it gets rained on. It evaporates quickly so I dont mind too much. If and when it quits working, I'll get another.

My 09 SG has the same issue in the smaller gauges, they say its a normal thing. So far it seems to clear up and dry out. My 01 Softail did the same thing and in 9 years never caused a problem.

Condensation accumulates on the inside of the glass because of the temperature difference between outside the glass and inside. Until they come up with sealed inert gas filled gauges, it will continue.

Harley says it's normal. Never had this problem on any bike except HD.
