Default Rubber Saddlebag Cushion

I need multiple people to please help me out. Can you take your hardbags off, flip them over, remove the rubber cushion (that goes between the bags and the rail) and post a picture. I really would appreciate your help.

Post a picture of what? The bags? The rubber? The rail?

And why do you need multiple people to go through this for you?

YES you can take that rubber piece off. You can use your bags like a cooler and that is the drain!

edit...I just re read your post. Why do you need a picture of it?

The bags that he had gotten from us are having fitment issue's. Possibly thought that maybe the gromets were different but HD only makes one style.... But either way I'm doing my best to guide him through any and all ways of getting them to work. Brackets are my first guess.

I was in the garage working and just got back to this thread. My budy who is a HD mechanic just left my house and my holes are 1/4 inch too high so I believe I got some 09 bags.

when i delivered my top shop bags to the guy doing my work, the first thing he did was snap the cushions in the bag. than he took a saddlebag suport bar and tried to push it in the cushions....he said he thought that channel was a little to small and he would have to sand them a little to open them up....but no big deal
