Default tire size

I have an 06 SG and am wondering if a 150-80-16 will fit in the fender well. its a d401 which i know the SG takes a d402 which the difference is mainly the load range and obviosly the size. so just wondering if a 150 wil fit. thanks

I reckon it should do! I am fitting a 2007 swingarm and rear wheel in my old 1990 bike, using a 150/80 and expect it to fit with no problems. I have an Avon Venom fitted, which is 150mm wide, while their 140/90 is actually 143mm wide, so the increase in width is not very much. You need about 3/16" clearance with all the things the current tyre gets close to, for it to fit with no problems. Most important thing to check is clearance with the belt and guard. The 150/80 is actually slightly smaller in overall diameter to an MU or 140/90 and the Avon 150/80 is also MU rated.

Shouldn't be a problem. I put one on my last bike, an 08 SG and it was fine

It'll fit, it's really not going to be much wider than the MU 85 that comes stock. My Metzler MU measures over 145 m.m. wide. I'd check the load rating on that 150, some of them are not load rated as high as the 140m.m. or the MU. Should be about 700lbs.
