I have a 2010 Limited and have talked with MCC. Because of the seat construction, Allen said they could only lower the seat by about a 1/2". He recommended getting an '08 seat. In lieu of that, he recommended the "Double Decker Memory Foam Mod." for the '10 seat because of the poor construction of the '09 thru '10 Touring bike seats.

29" inseam here. I went with MCC first to lower and move forward and upgraded the passenger seat for more comfort at the same time. Not enough, but great work and good folks to work with. Am currently having the Progressive Drop in fork lowering kit installed 1" lower, and Bitchen Baggers are dropping the stock shocks 1 1/2". I'll have to see if that puts me where I want to be. YMMV.

You really need to spend some time sitting on the new frame because it is wider than an '08 or later model which adds to the length required to reach the ground with your feet. Also, although very well balanced, if you have a passenger on the back seat you will need more than just the ***** of you feet to hold it up on any inclines. Mean City Seats are great people to work with and do high quality work at reasonable prices.

I lowered mine with the h-d lowering shocks and i have to say "dont do it". I have mine pumped up to 35# and still bottoming. They do get you 3/4 inch closer to the ground but at a cost of ride quality.

Here is another suggestion Take your riding boots to the cobbler (I assume you know what a cobbler is?)and get maybe a half inch thick sole put on them.
Your wife may like the idea since she won't have to lean over to give you a kiss.

LoL! Hobbit...that's what everyone calls me. I'm 5' 4" with a 27" inseam!

I ride an '08 Standard and I have both the front and rear profile suspension parts installed and the reach seat. With riding boots I flat foot mine with ease. Although the '09-'10 sit a bit taller in stock trim you should not have any problems!
