if you are going to spend 9k why not go a little deeper and get one of the xr 1200's. I looked at 1 at the dealer for the first time I bet those would be a blast. 39 degrees of lean angle. Do alittle engine work. Oh Yea!

If I were in your position, I'd just get a depreciated-out Jap bike of some kind. An '06 ZX14 or one of the older 'Busa's would be pretty cheap and they zip around really good. Or maybe an old Honda CB 750? Lots of those around for about $1000 for one that's in fair shape.

Then there are the Buells. Major bang for the buck, especially now for a new one if you can find one. And great used ones are really cheap too.

I guess the electraglide is just not the right bike for me,like some of you said. Now if I had a dyna, now thats the ride in my opinion.I cant afford 2 bikes because of having to insure both of them.I have owned 2 bikes before, never could decide which one to ride.Hyabusa? You got to be kidding.Who can ride a bike in that position? Not me.i bet they will scare the hell out of you when you crack open the throttle.

+1 on the Dyna. I have a '94 FXDS factory-stock & I love it!

Any one going to Sturgis and being bored has some other issues. You need an attitude adjustment and I don't think buying another bike will do it. You came on here seeking advice, so here goes. Don't buy anything else, park your bike for a year and go do some other hobby for a year, travel, gardening, whatever. After a hiatis see if the spark comes back, if not, you are out of bikes. As the saying goes, " you don't know what you got, until it's gone".

I can't say I've ever thought of not riding. I think the Ultra handles great for it's size and I ride it everywhere. Like someone else said, if you want a different ride sometime get a Busa. They are scarry fast and at 150 it feels like it's on rails.

This is normal. I typically swap one of my bikes every 18 months on average. I get tired of the same thing and start making excuses. I just traded in my awesome superglide for an ultra. Haven't had much time to ride it. My other bike is a 97 ZX11. Light (compared to any harley), fast and fun. Had it 9 months and already looking to swap it out for a ZX14. Everytime I get a new bike I start looking for a replacement for my current daily bike.

dont feel bad I think it happens to everyone. I mean, unless, you're just not into riding anything anymore. Try a dual-sport for a while. DRZ-400SM will liven things up.

Not sure what to say to that one but do you feel the same way when you’re riding or just when you’re on the computer? You need to go for a ride and think about it!

Touring motorcycles suck almost as much as cars. Windshields are for four wheels, not two.
