FIAMM freeway blaster horns
Guys,
I bought 2 freeway blaster horns from Ryderfleetproducts.com. One high tone and one low tone. 22 bucks shipped is a pretty good deal compared to Autozone or compared to a Stebel Nautilus, no?
My question is about wiring. I think I'm gonna mount them on the crossbrace, above the voltage regulator, either in front of the brace or behind it. I want them to be protected from the elements so facing the engine might be a better idea but I don't want them to suffer from excessive heat either so I'm not sure of the final location.
Now, how do I wire these puppies? Do I need a relay for connecting the 2 horns together or can I just use the existing wires for the stock horn? They draw 5 amp each.
I'm gonna remove the stock horn and just leave the cowbell for looks.
Thanks for your input and suggestions.

I've had Fiamm Freeway Blasters on my '04 Road King since it was new. I put the low-tone horn where the stock one was, and mounted the high-tone horn at the left front gas tank mount. If you aim the bell slightly downward, the horn won't collect a lot of crap. I didn't use an additional relay.
