Default Who has made thier STOCK WHEELS look better

I am installing tires this winter and would like to make the STOCK wheels look better. I know I can buy custom wheels but I don't want to spend the big bucks. Has anyone done anything to STOCK WHEELS to make them look better like powder coat or paint or anything else.

It's lipstick on a pig, they are still stock wheels, either you like them the way they are or you don't. Chrome , powdercoat , paint , polish or milling them doesn't really help if you don't .

Oh and I had a '91 Fatboy that I put modified stock wheels on, took them off in 6 mo and then put on aftermarket wheels on.

I have seen a few Ultra with powdercoated stock wheels. I like them and will be doing powder to mine next time I change tires. I've seen them done in colors to matche the machine and it looks good. Of course, I don't have any pictures.

Hmmm... pigs with lipstick? Anyway, IMHO I went to chromeprosplating and had the stock wheels milled and chromed almost 5 years ago. Still look awesome. Of course, YMMV.

The only way that I see to make your wheels look better is to get after markets. Hogpro has some great deals. Just put some cash away each month until you can afford them, this is what I am doing!! Not a bad deal below!!

BTW, there are some great deals on chrome stock wheels on EBay? It is an option!

Colorado Bagger Sets 2000-2008

Colorado chrome 21 x 3.5" front (or 18 x 3.5" front)
Colorado chrome 18 x 4.25" rear
Colorado front polished brake rotors
Metzler tires mounted+balanced

For any 2000-2008 Bagger...In Stock!

Retail- $3300...Sale- $2495 (add $50 for ABS)

Default Chrome 'em!

I have the stock 9 spokes out for chrome as we speak. I think a lot of the stock wheels look awesome after they're chromed.
