Default What's the best tool for exhaust head bolts.

Maybe the name isn't exhaust head bolts, but it's the ones that hold the head to the heads.
For the mechanics or the guy's that are swapping out exhaust lots. what do you use?
The reason I ask, is there just doesn't seem to be much room, is there some specail tool for this job?

I use a 1/2" swivel socket...1/4" drive...a long 1/4" drive extension.
Been working for me for a long time.
Craftsman brand.
This type here...only in 1/4" drive.

Yup, flex sockets are the ticket. One of the rear jug nuts is really hard to get to, I have had some luck with a distributer wrench...

Oh, don't forget the BLUE painters masking tape to keep the scratches off the chrome.

Ditto, except I use a 1/4" for everything. I felt it gave me more wiggle room vs using anything 1/2"

For the front, a crows foot works well for me.

1/2" is the nut size for the exhaust flange. I'm sure he is using a 1/4" drive, 1/2" socket.

The 1/4 swivel is a must. On the rear lower nut i used a stubby open end and a crescent wrench on the stubby. With the Rinehart heat shield on i could not get a socket on it but the stubby open end and crescent worked. The tape idea was a pain but worked.
