I was amazed at how little I lost when going to the 18/21 combo I thought OH man what have I done. But I tell you what I would do it again in a heart beat. Fender clearance is something you have to check but the stock configuration just needs some bolt grinding on the front and I have Arnott air ride so the shocks have bump stops that accomidate my rear should I slam it or lose air in any event. Talk to Phil at Hog Pro he is a sponser on this site and he will give you the straight truth.

The thing that strikes me with this set up is that everyone seems to want to eliminate one of the front rotors and brakes to get a better view of the custom wheel. I've got to think that this is a bigger issue (stopping a big bike soon enough) as opposed to handling from the height difference on the tires.
Not to mention the chrome rotors I was looking at were more expensive than the wheel itself... jeez

95% of our customers who went with a 21" up front love the look and feel the handling is different but still good. I personally think a 18" front handles a little bit better than the 21" fronts but it is not a drastic difference to me when I ride them. The 21" fronts will fit the stock fender but you need to check the fender clearance and possible raise it a little. Let me know if you any other questions about this combination on your bagger.
