Default Anyone try a hid system other than barleys

I just ordered a hid system advertized on this forum for only 57.00 . It's plug and play

Curious to learn how it works for you. Please post whether you like it or not after you've installed it and tried it out.

I would encourage looking for other brands! I have a genuine Harley one which looks good in the bike, but has very poor beam shape. It is no good for driving in the dark!

Wow as high as the Harley system I would be real dissapointed of it had a poor beam

I was considering HID as well, but then do I want to be riding in the dark? Dodging deer or worse moose...

But I was considering this:
Installing the HD aux lighting bracket, and picking up a set of these:

PIAA has these lights rebranded for them.

Then I'd have HID driving lights.
I've considered the HID from HD, but the low beam is HID, and the high beam is Halogen. That kinda blows. I guess you could change out the high beam halogen for a HID bulb and ballast.

Interested in everyones solutions.

I ordered mine from tophidkits.com The one I ordered is hid low and high beams

DDM Tuning $44.95 for a single bulb 35W/55W system and $49.95 for a two bulb system. Both have lifetime guarantees. I have the double bulb and it works out ten times better than the HD junk.
