I haven't checked the ad but if it includes a supermodel in a G string doing the install I might have to take a look at the funds in my mad money account!!!

And start a bidding war. I could start by offering him $10.00 over what he is asking stating a bunch of other folks just saw the ad and are very interested.

I'm not sure what causes that....somebody just gets bent to purchase something from the net? I do a lot of buying and selling (mostly ebay) but at times I see used motorcycle parts go for MSRP (we all know that we can get new at 20% discount from several places, don't we?) and a couple of times, over MSRP.

The flip side is I've got some really smokin deals on some high priced parts, too. Like the song says.....gotta know when to hold em and know when to fold em!

I had a guy email me from Oregon telling me that my bike (an 04 Screamin Eagle Electra Glide) was a nice bike with some great mods but that it was priced about $7k to much for this market. That was four weeks ago. I sold it a week later for my asking price.

Like others have said many just go on there and buy not even checking prices thats there own stupidity and lucky day for the guy with the high price. I have gotten some great deals on craigslist just picked up a luggage rack bag looks like brand new from some people about 1.5hr away from me. They even shipped it to me and i paid $28 bucks shipped to my door harley and ebay has them new for $100 bucks.

No matter what you buy you are the consumer its your responsibility to check prices and get a fair deal its not the sellers responsibility to make sure he gives you a fair deal hes going to sell it for what ever some idiot will pay.

Well If we want to "take care of our own" and school the new riders.....
I'd just post a link to it on a sight that had it at retail or lower with the same subject line as his and add (cheaper) LOL

Is it me or does that timing cover look like the cheap/dull one that comes on your bike when you get it?

When I was on the fire dept guys would by red lights off ebay for more then what they would cost new. Like someone said, you need to do your homework. I also think some people really get into the bidding part and it is about winning
