Question Arc ks125.2 amp Question???

Ok I want to start of by saying I've been searching and reading for the past week and I think (??) I might have it figured out so if someone could confirm I would really appreciate it.

I'm getting ready to install my new ks125.2 amp inot my 09 Streeg Glide. Stock HK Radio, Focals 165cvx speakers. So here goes and pleas keep in mind I didn't get the Harness wiring kit, I picked up my own wire an inline fuse.

1) Red power wire to positve battery terminal and black one to negative battery terminal?
2) In line fuse on main power wire goes to the red/postive cable?
3) Those two are routed up frame and through fairing to amp?
4)Speaker wires removed from speakers ared connected or soldered to the corresponding wires in the 5 pin Harness?
5) Black wire from 5 pin harness is gounded ?
6) New speaker wire is routed from amp to the corresponding speakers?
7) Sitched power lead is connected to headlight or cigarette lighter? ( Is one better than the other)
8) Settings are adjusted?
9) In line fuse installed?
10) Turn ignition power on and ENJOY ???

Please let me know if I got it right and if not feel free to add your input..

Thanks

Marty

Eclipse CD5030 or if you can find it the Eclipse 7200MKII (MKII is audiophile grade and requires an amp since it has no internal amplification).

Marty,
Just installed that amp in my ride also. you are on the right track!
1. Red to positive on the battery Black does not have to go all the way back to battery. I used the wiring loom C clamp holder bolt on the right side of the frame just in front of the tank. JUST MAKE SURE YOU HAVE A GOOD GROUND! In fact I used the wiring harness from ARC that Modesto Harley configured for ARC and the ground is not long enough to go back to the battery.
2 Main fuse on red YES and keep as close to battery as possible my fit in the battery box area. NO NO PUT FUSE IN YET!
3. Yes with the diference of where you pick up the ground.
4. Correct.
5. Yes the black is a ground I landed it in the same exact spot as I landed the pwer ground in item 1.
6.Correct.
7. I used the extra accessory lead off of the head light loom you just use the power from there. For turning on and off the amp with a switch.
8. I am running the J&M 7.25 speakers so your setting will be different. But John at J&M told me run it in high pass, adjust the frequency to around 125 110 you just listen to what sound good, adjust the gain until just before distortion and use about half of the available bass boost. You will get all kinds of comments on how to correctly adjust an amp by many in their opinion.
9. Correct.
10. INCORRECT !!!! Turn on the power and start REALLY enjoying your pumping tunes!

Did you pay the province licensing fees and insurance. Also did you complete an environmental impact study. If you bribe the local code enforcement guy you might get away with not paying the policy makers in Ottawa their kick back, but don't count on it, a drone will probably fly over and record the install and the tax man will no doubt be stopping by sometime soon. Sounds like you have a pretty good setup, hope you get away with it.
