I am cheap at times, like my money to satisfy my chrome lust. Yes I am a chrome *****.
I copy things others has. I made this to make this easier on me.

Took 3 hours to make and the cost was $20. Works great. You can purchase them but they are more than what I was willing to pay.

showoff

some of us don't have the skills necessary to do that so we have to rely on those who have come before us. unfortunately, they like to get paid for their time, research, etc.....

+1 on this. I just did the same thing on Friday. I was putting true duals on so I took the opportunity to install a lite clutch kit and chrome oil spout cover since the exhaust of off. No mess and everything was cake.

I had my wife hold my bike upright while I measured the distance from the bottom of the frame to the floor. I then screwed scraps of plywood together to make a "block" that fit perfectly under the frame. I then made a shorter one to fit under the jiffy stand when the bike was upright. Now I put the big block under the frame, put the small one "behind" the jiffy stand, get on the bike, pull it upright, push the smaller block under the jiffy stand with my foot, and the bike is held securely in the upright position.

I have the Red Sears Lift, but for washing and cleanup I made one of these. I position it to lift the front tire or the rear tire off the ground to clean the laced wheels. I don't see why it wouldn't work for oil changes too. I didn't need the full 4 x 8 so I used a 4 x 6 and added some plywood to the height I was looking for.

I just wanted to thank you for the link to the coupon for the stand/chock. I printed one, called my local Harbor Freight store, they had them in stock and I got one for HALF PRICE, $39.95!! It took about 2 minutes to put it together and I changed my tranny oil without a hitch!! Thanks again...I love this Forum!!!!!!!
