RE: Dyno numbers for '07's
I wish that I could get my paws on that dyno sheet. Problem is, one of the stipulations was that nobody was supposed to get the results. Very few actually have ( not counting yall )

Hey TowJam - can your confirm the elimination of cats from my post above? Taken from the HD Tech pdf floating around.
Suggests no cats?! Also says O2 feedback loop for HDI (international) models.
I'm thinking if there are no cats it's only in the international models.
Thanks,
Pete

Or am I misunderstanding the question?

Some of the factory cams I've worked with over the years (in cars) were made up like this. They'll most likely be no problems.
Thats not really an educated opinion, rather an observation.....

The cams are 5 peices pressed together? Whoa! That makes me pause..........anybody out there have an educated opinion on that?

No..spot on.
Not having cats and making EPA emissions levels kind of surprises me.
I know with cars it can be done with, in part, a great tune.
From "How things work"...
In a catalytic converter, the catalyst (in the form of platinum and palladium) is coated onto a ceramic honeycomb or ceramic beads that are housed in a muffler-like package attached to the exhaust pipe. The catalyst helps to convert carbon monoxide into carbon dioxide. It converts the hydrocarbons into carbon dioxide and water. It also converts the nitrogen oxides back into nitrogen and oxygen.
Cats have historically been the most cost effective way to deal with certain emissions even though they clearly have ther downside. Kind of obviously the EPA does not mandate cats, they just have certain emissions standards and you can meet them however you like I suppose - as long as you meet them.
Maybe the EPA does not care - yet - about all the crap cats attempt to deal with - for bikes.
Just academically curious how in a mass produced closed loop feedback exhaust they pulled it off. Glad they did! We don't need or want no stinkin' cats.

IMO..once the 07's get into the market, they'll be lots of hopup goodies for all...just a big bore alone will give over 100 cubes...cams, heads, uh huh ...i wouldnt be too afraid of the o2 sensors...i think it'll work even better...just get a tune close and as long as the A/F is in the range of the sensor it'll maximize it...now the aftermarket ecm guys you can bet are already all over this one...nope, i wouldnt worry...they'll be fine

All international (HDI) and destination Japan model motorcycles are equipped with catalytic converters.
