That's what I'm going to be doing soon. I have the black Handlebar bracket from HD and I'm going to fab it to fit and swivel. Thanks for the post.

I have an oil gauge that's going to replace the air gauge, so that won't work for me.

Check out the CVO Ultra Classic Electra Glide which comes standard with the fairing mount with the padded dash. I really like the look so have decided to go that route, realizing the holes in the fairing are forever. If in the future I decide to get rid of the GPS I'll just replace the padded dash for one without holes.

i have the handlebar mount for my 665. its a big unit and sometimes interfears with the rearview mirror. i saw the dash mount on a screaming eagle, and it looked great. no problem with holes, but i like my 3 case bag in the inside of the windshield/fairing.

No cons to a fairing mount. I love mine.

How does the Zumo get power when using the Fairing Mount Kit?

Does this kit require you to plug anything into the aux input on the front of then radio?

Thanks

To use the speakers yes you need to plug into the aux input. When I'm using the GPS I use the built in MP3 and it works great. If you have the Road Tech you can purchase Navigation Interface Module.

Say I don't want to use the GPS for music, only voice prompts for directions, do I still need to plug into the aux port on the front of the radio?
Thanks

If you want to use the bike speakers for the GPS directions yes or just turn up the volume on your ZUMO.

I run the cable to the aux port up and over my shield bag, keeping it out of the way.
