Front Brake switch

Problem is I have all the fairing (including ignition) off the bike so I can't check if brake light stays on.
Is there anything that sticks out beyond the rubber boot? Looking in at the boot and lever, the boot will expand when pulling in the brake lever. I'm hoping this is a good sign.
As for experience, yup won't forget that again

Yup, it's official.....I've joined the broken switch club . Got the inner back on today, connected everything else and sho'nuf brake light stays on.
With this being said, what does it take to repair this debacle? Is it a matter of screwing in a new plunger, soldering new wire end on? Need some help here fellas.

I have done this with great success
Instead of replacing the switch assy go to the Hardware store and get a 1/4 long small dia. allen screw...No head just the allen wrench portion and screw the allen screw into the boot assy...the allen will contact the remainder of the plunger while protruding from the boot assy and your problems will be fixed for the price of a allen screw...

Set Screw
Yes thats what I was looking for earlier...Old Timers kicking in again...
The procedure worked for me a couple years or so ago and glad it worked again for someone else...
Glad to be of help
I would venture to say that even if you have another Brain fart you'll find that the switch will stand up to alot more then it previously did...
