Swithced the factory bars on my 09 Classic, which seem to fit "NO ONE" to beach bars off an 06 Custom. Love the fit. They are wide, but manuver very well. Had to modify the right end to accomodate the fly by wire throttle on my newer bike, but found them on eby for 30 dollars, and there was not a scratch on them.

16" apes for me. I tried Heritage bars and didn't like them.

Do a Forum search for RK Handlebars, Khrome Werks Sweeper Bars, there are a lot of different pictures and opinions out there. I have a set of blacked out Heritage bars on my 2004 RK and while comfortable, I'll be switching them out in a week or so for a set of KW Sweeper +2 bars. I need something to get my mind off this snow and cold here in NY.

I have a set of 12" apes coming for mine. I hated the stock bars, killed my back, I've tried the beach type bars they are good for the back but kill your wrists. So hopefully the short apes will be good.

Thanks for all the replys; I'm just looking for a bar with comfort at cruise and manuverability to negotiate turns. What I might do is take some electrical wire and bend it to conform to what seems like I'm looking for and give Flanders a call.

I think its impossible to recommend a bar, because everyone is shaped different and likes to have their bars in a different position. I might be in the minority, but I think the stock bars on my 08 Road King are perfect, and I wouldn't change them to anything else. I have longer arms and prefer a standard riding position though. If you like a bit more rearward lean (such as when putting feet on highway pegs), then you might want a longer pull-back.
