This came to me in one of the many other "don't you guys hate yourself for buying an '06" threads...

Has anyone actually ridden one of the 2007 models yet?

My theory is that the bigger displacement and the six speed is simply making up for more EPA restrictions, and the bike probably performs nearly the same as an '06 with basic performance mods. I may be wrong, but won't know for sure till I ride one.

I have also heard rumors that aftermarket mods such as exhaust and intake will void your warranty, and possibly not even be available because of restricitons and fines and such. On that note, has anyone read the new warranty for the 2007 models?

I truly hope it doesn't come to this, but I have a feeling that in a few months we may have just as many threads asking whether or not new '07 owners wished they had not gotten them, as there are threads asking whether '06 owners wished they had waited. Memmories of the EVO keep creeping up in my head.

 

I just read another thread a couple up from this one where a few guys were talking about the 07 road king they rode. I personally havent.... but they said they were impressed w/ the 6th gear and the snappier throttle

I went to a dealership today in georgia but unfortunately they said they wouldnt have any 07s for a few more weeks (BOOOOOO)

 

They have 'em, but they are still in the boxes. Most of the dealers aren't showing them at all yet because they have some '06 models to peddle.
