Default RE: Which is 2-1 is the loudest on an 88"er?

I have fatcats on both mine. My 88" is a nice fairly mellow sound but gets loud with a heavy throttle. Not loud at all on cruise. It's a softail and it's a shorter muffler/baffle. My bagger has the fatcat and when it was 88" it was much louder than the softail. But still very nice. When I updated to 95", heads and cams, the fatcat became a whole different set of pipes. You know it's coming. I wear earplugs when cruising. I'm looking to tone that down some with a different 2-1. I'm now officially old.

I just replaced the bassani 2 into 1 with the Rinehart 2 into 1. The Bassani was louder but the rinehart are deeper. The main reason I changed was that the Bassani was getting rust showing thru the ceramic coating. My dealer contacte Bassani and they said I had to polish them everytime I washed the bike and that they were not going to replace them. Didnt even offer a set of heat shields which would have made me happy. The Dealer swapped the Rinehearts for the Bassani's. The dealer made me happy not Bassani.
