IMO, the detachable hardware for the lowers is a waste of money. They detach quick enough with the stock hardware. That's just my opinion though.

I was wondering the same thing. I bought a set of lowers for my RKC. As soon as they are painted to match, I'll be mounting them.

hawkeye85 - I have the quick detach hardware on my Ultra. It does make the on/off process easier but as dawg says the lowers detach/install pretty quick with the stock hardware. It really depends on how often you plan to remove/install the lowers. I take mine off put them back a few times during the winter riding and rainy season and got tired of messing with the stock p-clip that holds the bottom of the lower to the gaurd bar. I got mine on sale so I'm ok with the cost and would probably buy them again.

From the pics they look like oem lowers. They had the quick hardware in the pics.

I have factory non-vented lowers on my '09 RG - takes me longer to gather the tools and lay out a towel than it does to install/remove - less than 10 minutes for both sides. They have been on/off over a dozen times since the bike was new.

Forgot to mention I also have glove boxes installed - makes the upper screw a bit more interesting to get to - I use a small piece of electrical tape to hold the screw to the phillips head driver during install...
