Downside? They seemed to catch enough wind to cost me a lil mileage, but that is a small price to pay for the relief they give you.
I don't ride them much, but I did when I first got them (just because they were a new thing). More for the emergency use now.

Great addition for the money. They do a decent job and like the man said you can roll them up in the saddlebags for when you need them.

I have had mine for 2 years now. I put them on once a year about October and leave them on till spring. I do take them off if the temps get to about 50 deg and I can feel the difference. I also have the HD fog likes and I just took a razor blade and cut out the area of the light lenses and they are fine. I have the nylon version.

Use mine all the time. Living in Phoenix the AM temp can get down to the upper 30s for the ride to work. I pull them off for the ride home when temps can be 65-75.

Same here, just lower temps..lol.

Best $49.00 investment. Cold and Rain. Nylon ones. I'm just wondering how much longer the snaps will work, but for the price, I'd buy another set in a heartbeat.

At first they are a pain to put an when new. For the first time, stick them in the dryer for 10 Min's to heat them up. They'll stretch and get easier the more you use them. They never leave my bike. Fold them flat into the bottom of my bags.
