Default GPS and Aux Jack Solution?

I think I found a simple solution. This will allow me to plug my Ipod, Sirius, and Zumo into my Aux jack on the HK radio all at once. It even has a priority override for the Zumo while I listen to satellite music.
It still isolates me to the aux mode (can't use tuner and Zumo) but it solves 90% of the problem with a two minute installation. I'll report on it as soon as I have an opportunity to test it on the road. Jeff

BTW the Zumo car speaker is barely audible. (No speaker on the bike mount.) I plugged it into my car's aux jack. Works well there but same old problem. Aux mode only!

Try to adjust the Zumo Volume while it is in the car mount. Mine is so loud when turned all the way up that it interferes with a phone conversation.

Great find! Looks like my problem is solved. I've got the Zumo with XM and wanted to add my iPhone / iPod for occasional listening. Let us know how it goes.

Try the Kennedy AuxSwitchSet 2. I have the 2730 interface and IPOD interface cables and they charge and send switched audio to the aux. jack. Installs under the fairing and never has to be touched again. I have been really happy with it.

WOW I just got off the phone with them, I have a choice either $585 or $305 for a zumo with xm and adding an iphone thats $585. Take away the cell phone portion of the iphone hook up so it only charges and plays music with the Zumo and XM and its only $305

GULP! well at least I know what I can do. This little project is getting deeper and deeper. LOL I was hoping there was a way to connect to the HK behind the fairing but there isnt.

I haven't tried this yet, but my XM is through the Zumo, and I can hook the iPhone up to it via Bluetooth. Why wouldn't you be able to do the same?

rthomp yep thats what I'm doing now. But I wanted to use the ipod side of the iphone and all the playlists for music. So instead of having cables flopping all around and swapping them I want to put the iphone and or ipod in the saddle bag so its safe & charging.

But I think I might try another item first as its a LOT cheaper.

Here is a Review on it - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-zlLoxVIhtc

and I'm wiring in a cigarette lighter plug hub with a USB in one of my saddle bags via the Battery Tender quick disconnect just for those long trips and cell phone or ipod charging. 8 bucks on ebay shipping included

(Sorry for the repost it just fit this thread also)

So you can't stream the iPod music through Bluetooth?

I've got most of my songs on an SD card in the back of the Zumo, so it's not the end of the world if I can't.
