Default Any tall riders try these extenders?

With a 36" inseam I am trying to get a little more leg room on my '07 RKC. Saw these offered by Arlen Ness and am curious if anyone has tried them & what they thought of them. 2" seems like a fairly drastic change that may require extending shifter & brake.

I am also toying with the idea of having a custom seat shop, remold or carve the seat foam to get me some extra legroom. The tallboy seat the MOCO offers only puts you back 1/2" which seems like a very small improvement for 1) an ugly seat, and 2) $300.

Has anyone had their seat modified to provide extra leg room?

Thanks for your feedback.

Lots of previous threads on the subject. The original extended brackets come from IndyCustomBikes. I think he had some blems recently for $80. Of course you should add extended shifter and brake levers. The extra room is worth it. (You already got rid of the heel shifter, right?) I also use extended foot boards from Bubbas Brake. My Corbin Solo moves me back another 2" and down 1 1/2"

36" inseam, and I am very comfortable.

You have numerous options for more leg room. You can also get the extended floorboard pans from Harley and/or a set of floorboard extensions that just move your boards out to the side if you don't want to have to get all the extended levers. As you can see this is getting expensive quick. For your seat you should check out Mean City Cycles. They are another site sponsor and have tons of great reviews. Another thought is to check out the 19"Banana boards and combine them with some of the other options available. Whatever you choose I am sure you will eventually get it setup just right.

I have a 38" inseam and have a Corbin that moved me back 2" and down 1". I want those brackets as well....(chrome) Also if you call BubbaBrakes you can get a kit with the extended brake arm and toe shifter they just cannot advertise it. I am also thinking about going another 1" forward and 1" out with the Kury brakets, this would give me a total of 3" forward and 1" out. Doing this and some mini apes I should be good to go.

Life is pretty expensive for us tall guys that do not have a sports contract.

I have the kit that extends the foot boards out 1". I love them. They are worth the money and easy to put on. Keep on ridin'.

Does the standard Corbin solo move you back that 2" or did you request it?
