Yeah, we all know how poluting motorcycles are, huh?
Might as well just put catalytic converters in all of their bikes huh, rather than making the EPA prove their case?

i guess you just don't get it. the epa doesn't have to prove anything. they can take statistics and make them say what they need them to. and if you ask them to, then you are just asking to have annual smog testing done on your bike.

Thanks for the input. It's a shame you gotta spend nearly $25,000 for an Ultra and then have to lay more coin to undo the performance chokers. Harley engineers are just doing what they have to. The salesman did tell me that Harley has the water-cooled design ready to go, even though the current air-cooled 96 is good until 2014. Thanks again.

yeah, i wouldn't put too much stock into what the 'salesman said'.... after all, they wouldn't be known to 'stretch the truth' would they.

Well I traded an 05 ultra for my 2010, and the first thing I changed on the 05 was the head pipes (true duels), mufflers, ac, and pc. The bike ran great all the time I had it and never any problems. So when I bought the 2010, I planned on doing the same anyway. This baby ran great right off the showroom floor. I now have done basicly the same changes to this bike that I did to the 05. 2/1/2 head pipe, jackpots,ac,and pcv. Thanks to Fuel Moto, the price for these four changes was less than what I spent on the 05. To me the sound is just right and I don`t think I will have any heat issues either with this set up. This bike still has the same great style as my 05 , but the improvements are many! Awsome bike.

I'm 6'2". I found my 99' Ultra was too small for me when I bought it. The bars were uncomfortable and the seat had me too far forward. I tried out a 09' Classic at the dealership one day and I was amazed at just how much better it fit me stock than mine had.

12,500 miles on mine, running Mobil 1, and I can't hear any whining from 5th gear either anymore. Wish it did whine, then I'd remember to shift into 6th sooner. Lol!

I've got an '07 Road King Classic and I can't notice any difference in the sound of 5th gear.

My 2010 UC Red Hot Sunglow is the most comfortable HD I have had the opportunity to ride. It is my first HD, but not the first one I tried. All the 08 and older models had too much vibration(back surgery 1998). My 2010 has no issues, no 5th.gear whine, enough power for me. Only performance upgrade is SE slipons at this time. Had a decel pop, but that has gone away since break in period. I only had the bike since Nov. 09, Louisiana weather when dry enough in the 40-50-60's so I can not commit on heat issues. I LOVE the bike. You will not go wrong with a 2010,
