As of January 1st, it's illegal to text while driving/riding in Ilinois. It's amazing they have to pass laws for something that should be just plain common sense. I think talking on a cell should be illegal everywhere, too.

Funny....I live in Montana and have not noticed one brand "worse" than another. What I have noticed is that FMV's (f##ckin' mini vans) are categorically the vehicles to watch for. The other thing I watch for is cottonheads/q-tips. I see a cottonhead....gotta get away.
Generally not enough traffic out here. Critters...that is a different story.

Don't get me started. 90% of the vehicles in Texas are either Pickup trucks or SUVs.
My wife and I have been "run in to" driving in our cars: 7 times in the last 10 years and my daughter was side swipped by an 18 wheeler...........and people bitch about the insurance rates in Texas as being to high.

Amazingly enough the two times I was almost run over on my bike was from the ditzy 20 something chicks in a car.

Buy a Mini Beast air horn.

Here in Calgary, it,s minivans and old men in pick ups, one is on a cell phone, and the other, just plain " tuned out". Take your pick.

So is speeding and how knows what else I do that is illegal. They still do it, it may stop some but not all.
I was cut of by a lady on the phone once, didn't feel to bad she did the same thing to the big SUV also. Did not even look, just pulled over. Another pulled in front of me in a double turn lane with out looking, it was like she did it as an after thought, she liked that lane better.
I would say I have been cut off by more women than men.

Most of them suck when it comes to being careful around us
BUT I always make it a point to wave a thank you hand at the ones who do wait
before pulling out in front of me. Maybe the'll talk amongst their friends and say something to the fact that "Those biker people are so nice and really care when we do wait and give them room" or something like that, ya know?
It'll go a long way for all of us~!
