I've moved from no helmet, to 1/2 and now wear a 3/4 almost all the time. Probably will be looking for a full helmet soon...lol. To jgreg's point, the newer flip up modular's seem pretty nice...

I wear a half helmet, actually have about a half dozen but taking a ride today with temps in the 40's I was wishing I had a full face helmet, even with a balaclava....

I wear a Arai Quantum 2 full face for really cold weather. Only problem with it is not as much air gets to the vents for the visor behind the batwing fairing, even with a 6 inch windshield, so i have to keep it cracked a little. Otherwise i wear the HD Spoiler Hybrid helmet and really like it.

Ok I did a search, read and read and read. Looks like ff or mod. Now have to talk wife into getting one herself; [she likes no helmet] hate to mess up her pretty face. Thanks everyone.

Try scorpion ,.. they have all types...
I use the EXO-100 Series which is half helmet with pop down visor, just like pilots...

I do prefer the full face, but I just can't do it in the summer...

As with most threads, the best one is usually one the author is wearing!

With that in mind, you might want to take a look at the Shark helmet. It was featured in Rider magazine during the last year. It's a very good FF, but converts to a true 1/2, as well. (That means no appendage on top of the helmet to catch the wind.) Also includes a flip-down sun shade. I've seldom had fogging problems with it.

It's just one option, but keeps me from having to carry an extra helmet.

I just graduated up to the 3/4 HJC IS33, really like it. I had been using the scorpion 100 1/2.

Sure hope I've made the change to FF before I need it, if you know what I mean.

I have two flip-ups, white for the Harleys, black for the Buell! Schuberth C2s, but I see there is a C3 available now. They have a built in sun visor, generally good quality and comfort, also very quiet.

Some of the flip ups or modulars are good for riding at moderate speeds. Looks like we gotta do some research
