Default D&D Boss Glide 2-1 slip on

Just installed the new D&D Boss glide slip on on my 2010 streetglide. Great improvement in the sound over stock ( nice rumble) but not overly loud. Typical D&D quality on the chrome(perty)! Couldnt find any reviews on this slip on , so i thought id leave some feedback. Happy New Years!!!!

I've been interested in this same slip on for my 2010 SG. Does D&D recommend a remapped of the EFI? Thanks

Actually we have talked about it several time on here and I can't stand mine on my 2010 SG. Looks and quality is fine but for me the Sound is only so so at best and it isn't much louder than stock even with all the baffle packing removed. Worse $350 I've ever spent. It has less than 50 miles on it and I'd take $250 for just to be rid of it.

BeeRad, No, you don't need a ReMAPP

Thanks for the input. Don't think I'll go the D&D route at this point. I've also been looking at the V&H twin slash 2 into 1 slip on but haven't been able to find feedback on sound and perf. yet. Thanks again.

If you want better sound {louder} you need to remove the cat from the headpipe, don't let the epa-***** get you! 2nd benefit is less heat & more power, good all around!!!

Thanks very much for your input. I definitely plan to do a complete exhaust at some point and get rid of the cats but haven't decided what route to go. I'm also waiting for more options to come on the market. The slip on idea is part of my impatience to get more of the traditional sound in the short term.

My bike runs lean and hot and with a stock AFR ranging around mid 14 (as I understand) it's no wonder. That to me is way to lean. But I'm relatively new to EFI so the learning curve is steep at this point! I've read conflicting opinions on the restriction and heat generated by the cat and while I have no doubt that it contributes, I've got to think that getting a decent amount of fuel to that motor is my first step.

I've had good success with a TMax w/auto tune on my wifes 07 Street Bob with getting AFR's down. It runs strong and cool as a result. I'm trying now to figure out which EFI system to use on my new SG but concerned about potential warranty implications. But with as hot as my bike runs stock, I'm not sure if that motor will make through the 2 year warranty period anyway.

There have been a couple of posts on here about drilling out the cats, in one of them they listed a company that you could send them out to & they cut them apart & remove the whole cat. You can't remove all of it by just drilling & you need a special bit because the material is so hard. If you can weld or have a friend who can all you need to do is remove the headpipe & saw it in half to allow access to the cat, you should be able to remove the material with a good chisel & then just weld the pipe back together. You can do a search & find out the name of the company & it shows on their website where they cut it in half, if you don't feel like tackling it yourself they charge $100, add that to the price of a good slip-on & you've still got a pretty cheap 2-1 system, especially if you can do it yourself.

I'm definitely going to dig into to this! Thanks!! I've been welding (cutting) for years and have all the tools but never considered this concept. Thanks again!

I agree with the cats changing the sound. Everyone has a diffent opinion on what they consider LOUD. i am pleased with the sound , as i stated nice rumble without being overly loud. Paid $279.00 for mine. Big Pig what exhaust are you going with next?
