Default Own your bike outright or making payments?

If you're interested in seeing the data breakdown on financing vs outright ownership take the poll.

Of the 7 Harley's I've owned in the past, I've financed all 7 of them (never paid cash upfront).

- Paid off the loans on 3 of 7 bikes and owned them outright (sold 2 of those 3)
- Sold 3 of 7 bikes before paying them off, and then paid off the loan after the sale
- Had one stolen

What poll?
(I paid cash. Never finance a toy. If you can't afford it, don't buy it.) Act your wage!

I would hate to be making payments while I watch it snow. I know it's easier said than done but save your money and pay cash if you can.

Ride well,

Jim

Mine will be paid for in July, but I don't mind making payments in the winter since I can ride most of the year.

I was a little short both times I bought a new Harley. It took me almost a year to pay each one of them off. Title is in the safe now.

I agree that a person is much better off saving and paying cash for toys, but sometimes when I get real close and see just what I want at a price I can live with, I get anxious and borrow a little to make it happen.
