Went to Trade Today
Well, I decided 6 speed and a 96" motor was to tempting. Especially now that Iam ready to pull the pin on cams and head work on mine. Which, ofcourse will lead too diamond cuts heads/cylinders and gear drives.
There where 3 07's at my dealership this morning, a new FatBoy (Anybody in the market, don't even think about an 06) Big fat rear tire and fat fender is simply gorgeous.
A new Ulta.........no difference apparent, with the exception of the powertrain
And a new Wide Glide, beautful paint combo, but not my style.
After sitting down for over an hour, the best deal is $4500, my bike and a new 07 sitting in my garage with the payments the same.
Would have been an easy decision if I hadn't just dropped 6G's on a new motor combo for my truck.
I can see a sleepless night coming on

Assume the trade was for the Ultra? How many miles on your RK? Seems like a pretty big hit, especially considering your engine mods and accessories you threw on it. Have you ridden the Ultra? I'd wait a little bit.......give this some thought! They'll have more coming and you won't be getting less for your bike if you wait.

wow... so it sounds like they are giving you 14k for your 06? That sounds like a big hit, and when you look at the motor work on your RKC thats a HUGE hit.
I would suggest taking a 07 for a ride before you sign anything. Im betting that the stock 96" isnt going to be anywhere near your built 95" and you are going to end up extremly disapointed....

I am 100% in love and satisfied with my '06 RKC. I would rather spend the money on the 95" kit which I plan to do when I get the money saved than buy a stock 96" and take the hit on trade in. The only thing I really like now about the '07's is the clock on the odometer guage! (its about time they added that!) I'm still looking for more feedback on the 6 speed tranny.

Any extras you put on your bike does'nt bring much more on trade in. They have set prices and that's what you get.
On a trade in your better off to remove any add on's that you have installed and transfer them to your new bike if it's the same style bike. Allot of that chrome will change over to other models.
