Default Adding Gel to Seats

I had heard that there are folks that can take the stk seat and add gel packs to them.Has anyone ever tried this and who does them. The stk 06 ultra seat gets a little hard on the backside after a couple hundred miles.....

I did this to my SG seat, it still sucked. Wound up putting a
sundowner on, have a happy rear end now. Any upolstry
should be able to do it. I had a friend that does it for a living
do mine. Only charged for material, about 65.00. Had to order
the gel.

Been there done that (butt buffer makes a gel pad they they can install inside the seat). Did that at Mrytle Beach last fall - helped. But, problem is that the gel retains heat in summer - so it's like sitting on a heating pad. Got a Tall boy seat - went with a removable gel pad (this way I can take it into work and put it in the frig). So be better ride home.

I got the gel insert in Milwaukee, several years ago, helped some, but then I bought a lambswool cover on top of the seat when I travel, ahhhhhhhhhh, its like heaven, oh by the way, I have a sundowner seat.

Have a SunDowner and also have a lambs wool hide. Wife and I both are sold! The hide is cool in the summer and warm in the winter.

I had the Saddleman gel added to my seat and the ride is much better HOWEVER if you leave your bike out at a restaurant (for example) at high noon in the middle of summer, when you come back out and leave you will have a toast rump for many miles... I actually lay a t-shirt over my seat now....

This is a pad that is added to the top. But the Airhawk does a good job after a few hundred miles. When you get the air adjusted right.
