I don't know where in Tennessee you live but I know there are three Cycle Gear stores in TN. I know Cycle Gear stocks the 36 mm socket....just a thought.

36 mm is too big. It'll probably slip on the nut. 35 mm or 1 3/8".

Thanks all, seems this 09 EGS (with a Biketronic Radio - should have mentioned that) has a little less space under the hood than some others are indicating. HOWEVER, stopped at the Village Corner Pub last night and mentioned not being able to find this tool and an acquaintance of mine piped up, "I've got one of those at my place a block and a half from here!" Sure enough he did - 1 3/8" is the correct size! Thanks all!

The cap size is 35mm the rear swingarm bolt is 36mm
