Not me mine is insured if i worried about stuff like that i guess i wouldn't use my ham radio call as my nick.. You can look me up by my call sign and get my address and everything Its just something if you know how to do it the info is there.. Guess the federal government doesnt care if they give out my address or not .. as far as the general location like the state and town i dont know why everyone doesnt use that feature either ?.. I have a puerto rican daughter in law who lives in VA that told me to take my ham info off face book cause they could see my address.. ? Well they can find it other ways also .. This girl is so paranoid she locked me out of my own house in the middle of the afternoon and I was in the garage 20 feet away working on my car .... So my info is on here whats everyone else s excuse for not having yours ?

I also find that very annoying also…

………………and while we are at it, I hate the windshield threads where somebody is either asking for or giving advice and don’t say how tall they are. HELLO, a windshield for a guy 5’ 8” isn’t going to be the same for a guy 6’ 2”.

I quit giving any advice in the windshields deprtment because of this. Now I just say good luck.

Interesting... Those from the Republic of Texas seem to display their location prominently. Either we are 1) proud of being from Texas, 2) have no concerns about location since we all carry guns...lol.

I know for a fact that if ya post your location and a picture it makes hiding behind a keyboard much more difficult. At least it does for me. I will never post any thing that I would not say to your face. I don't really believe everybody is the same way. JMHO though.

Dyer Indiana. Figured if somebody gave a hoot, they would ask.

Nothing meant to offend anybody.

It drives me crazy when I see an intersting post or reply and when I go to see where the person is writing from there is nothing not even a state?
Have you ever thought about just plain "asking where they are from" instead of getting all worked up about it? I do admit that I was curious a few times and also dissapointed that it wasn't in the slot,... but hey.

Technically, I am "from the internet" as far as everyday conversations go. LOL
You shut down your puter and guess what? I am gone out of your life. "Poof!"

But really, do not be afraid to ask somebody. Worse they can do is use caplocks in their reply.
