Has anybody used either of these systems? 3 inch Cycle Sounds Motorcycle Sound System or the Kuryakyn Sound of Chrome. I'm trying to decide on which one. A couple of questions before I start looking seriously. Quality of sound, how loud and do either one of these charge a ipod? Just want to play a ipod, no radio. Any help or opinions would be great!

was considering the cycle sounds system last year before I sold my road king. saw it at hal's hd at the 105th the year before, it sounded good and I believe there was a kit to keep your ipod charged. Have since bought a SG and use ipod instead of radio most of the time. Ipod will play at least for 20hrs without a charge, I just charge it overnite in the wall wearever I'm staying or use 12v port installed on bike..

 

Jus' got Rumble Road Ultras-gonna mount them tomorrow...but won't be able to ride with them til spring.

 

RUMBLE ROAD is the best!
Smaller speakers can'h handle the bass load.
Sure, smaller ones hide better & look cleaner, but if they crap out on you, why bother?

 

I got the Kuryakyn Sound of Chrome speakers. I have pic's in my albums. Check it out. LOVE them. Work perfect.

 

Finally got them mounted-pretty straight forward. LOUD LOUD LOUD!!! I haven't taken them on the road yet-so we'll see. On my itouch there are sveral eq settings-set to "small speaker" it sounds awesome!

 

Hands down rumble roads sounds the best as they're a bigger speaker, i've installed all of the metioned items (kuryakyn, rumble road and cycle sounds), and i like the kuryakyns best as far as looks and sound.....just my $.02
