Default HELP-getting BUB7 baffles out.

I put a set of BUB7 true duals on my 10 SG and the baffles don't seem to be as cooperative as the baffles in my Rineharts. What is the secret?

From what I understand, the true duel baffles are removable, but the baffles for the slip on for the stock head pipes are not. Could this be your problem?

It ia a true dual set of pipes, looking inside it seems to have orange hi temp silicone or something like it around the baffle and end cap. Also dosen't have the pull bar at the end of the baffle. I haven't tried the weld the slide hammer to the baffle trick yet. It is hard to get ahold of the baffle but the end cap didn't want to move at all. I was thinking a few more miles may loosen things up a bit.

Are they tack welded? The end caps don't want to budge either.

About an inch each in 4 places if I remember right. If you want the look take thge screws out of the end cap and tap the side of it with a rubber mallet while rocking it with your hand, switch bach and forth between sides, should walk right out.

Thanks Doc, I'll give it a try. The only reason I want to take the baffle out is to remove the wrapping, my rineharts sounded great with no wrap around the baffle. also I might modify the baffle once its out.
