I have tears running down both sides of my face. I love hot, spicy chili but there have been times I have been where judge #3 was.

 

Glad you guys enjoyed it... every time i read it with a bunch of friends we crack up so hard tears start flowing!!

Somewhat related, did everyone see this about a Dallas, Texas chili cook-off on 1/1/10? (didn't intend to hi-jack)

Here are the general details:

• All chilis welcome!
• Win $100 Strokers Dallas gift card & custom made Strokers trophy
• Only $5 to taste and vote

The rules if you want to compete:

• Registration must take place by 12 Noon on 1 January 2010
• Register with Meghan @ the Store or Lola @ the Bar
• Tastings take place at 1p
• Winner announced at 4p
• All chili is welcome (Meat, Bean, Veggie..) and set up will be in the bar
• Bring your chili pre-made.
• 2 quarts minimum (the more you make the more to go around and get you winning votes!)
• You must provide your own warming device (electric - no open flames) and a general list of ingredients (and no you don't have to give away the secret spice).
• Strokers will provide tasting cups and spoons.
