Question Street Glide Windshield

I just put the first 50 miles on my new 09 Street Glide. The short ( 4" ?) windshield has to go. There are so many choices out there, I could sure use a recommendation on what works and what to avoid by someone with real world experience with the product. I am 6' tall and would like the shortest windshield that will give a comfortable all day ride. Klock Works, Windvest, National Cycle, Clear View? I like the looks of the Klock Works and National Cycle, but don't have a clue how well they deflect the wind. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks and ride safe.

Default Fastaire

Why not try Fastaire? You can get several sizes of windshield for about $28 each. I have the 6" and 8". you might try an 8" and 10'. You need to replace a windshield very couple of years anyway.

If nothing else, you will know which of the big bucks windshields to buy.

Cee Bailies SSC 11 inch works for me at 6'1". I also have a lowered seat so that may make a difference. It does vibrate at idle but smoothes out over 35mph. It directs the air over and around my helmet well and looks good IMO.

8" clearview with recurve. I'm 5"11". Still looks very low profile, and pushes most of the wind over my helmet. I have a 4" cvo eglide windshield I like to run in the summer when a little wind in the face feels good.

Welcome back to the forum.

5'10" and the 8" Fastaire worked great for me but I liked the looks of the Klock 6.5 and bought one. There is air around my head and face but it is pretty benign (non buffeting). I haven't see in person the new 8" Klock that's out now but that could be a winner if I were your height.

I'm 6 ft and and have a Mustang Solo with a 6" Fastaire. The 6" is pretty good depending on weather/wind conditions. I have contemplated trying an 8" but the 6" is good 90% of the time. The Fastaire seems to be well made and has held up well for the past 10,000 miles.

I believe in the recurve, I am 6'3" with a 10" windvest I bet an 8" would do ya.It throws the air over my helmet

Hands down KW. I'm 6'5" and I put the 6.5" on my new '10 SG and it is great.

I run the 6" Windvest and it works great. I am 6'2" and had the 4" SG shield on it before this one. Huge difference.
