Default windshields

I have the 6.5 klock werks, it is much better than the stock 4 inch. A previous post recommended by a couple of cheaper shields, to see which height you want. When you find the size and you want then you can look at styling.

The other option is to call Brian(KW) and see if he has any dealer demos in your area. If so, try the 6.5 and the 8 to see which one you like best.

+1 on the Fastaire's experiment with couple sizes before spending big money. The Clearview recurves give you about +1.5" more protection. After a lot of trial & error I switch between a 8 & 9.5" Clearview.

For the price you might want to try the 6" Long Ride curved shield ( $54.99 shipped on ebay) Link: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...%3D1&viewitem=

I haven't been able to try mine out yet but I paid over 20 bucks more for this very shield 2 weeks ago....... wasn't on sale at the time!!

I am 5/8" tall and have a 9" Memphis Shade, not very good. Klock Werks 6.5" on its way. Pass the popcorn ! You are really going to be confused after this is over

The new Klock Werks 3 1/2" is great, eliminates all the buffeting that the stock 4" gives.

I had an 8 inch fastaire and it worked well. I broke it one day while removing it. I would say that is the only knock I have on it. Its not curved and there is considerable tension on the shield. I am not saying that is why it broke, that was my own dumb fault.

I decided to try a clearview at that time. They had the 8" smoked one I wanted in stock. After riding with it for a while I will say that I think the clearview performs a little better than the fastaire. I can't honestly say that it is enough of an improvement to justify the extra expense over the fastaire.
Again, they both worked well. I have never had big problems with buffeting either way.

Cool

I have the 8" Fastaire and it works quite well. For the price I was able to buy a 10" to keep for serious long road trips. Why pay extra when you get all you need with Fastaire (by the way the service is great).

Klock Werks 6.5". I just put it on last week. Amazing results on the removal of air. The front end also feels much more solid at speeds of 70+.
