I am looking at a new street glide and I am trying to decide between the Sunglow red or the black? I feel the red will hide scratchs and dirt better than black but not sure if I really like the red? Not much to chose from. Wondering if people regret buying a black bike?

 

Nope. And never a trend. And the fastest color.

 

I have a black bike and don't regret buying it. It's more maintenance but I knew it when I bought it.

Black will always be the 'classic' look of the Harley IMO. True they are harder to keep clean, but that just comes with having a black vehicle. You know that going in.

To me, the Sunglo is too much red. I'd have to offset the red with blacking out everything (pipes, handlebars, mirrors, etc). I let the wife weigh in on the color and she prefered the Black Cherry. Otherwise, black would've been my choice.

 

Man- talk about opposite ends of the spectrum- I have black and don't regret it but, after seeing one in person, the sunglow red does look hot!

 

Black sucks A$$. It is impossible to keep clean and i hate/love it. I would NEVER buy another color because i'm stupid like that. I will never buy another black truck but i don't even see the other color bikes when i go looking around.
You just need to get the 2 colors side by side and you will instantly know which one works for you. You will just feel it. The black bike calls to me like a Siren.

The sunglo red is an awesome color, almost brandy wine. Just having mine repainted, it was brandy wine and dark purple, going all inferno red pearl with gold pin stripes.

 

Not only is Black the fastest, Harley puts radar absorbing material in the paint so you won't show up on cops radar. Also it rains less on black bikes and you will have 50% less tooth decay.
