Um ... I've had one black car and will never own another. My bike is Vivid Black and I LOVE the color ... BUT ... any dark vehicle is going to show EVERYTHING. I don't care about the dust, etc, but the freaking swirl marks in the paint SUCK! Like I said, I love my black bike, but I honestly don't know if I'd buy another one.
To the OP, get whatever color you like best. Keep in mind, you can go to other dealers or wait on another color if you care to. Get the color that you "can't live without", and don't worry about it!
One other note, not sure if this really amounts to anything but a bike painter told me that Sunglow Red is the hardest color to paint and match. Because of that he charges a lot more to paint that color than any other Harley color.
Beary
It's not the Sunglow Red but the Candy Red Sunglow that is the hardest to match and paint. Silver base, candy red, and light green flake.
You can see the difference how the bike looks in the sun (Thumbnail) and shade (Sig below). It's so deep you can even see the interlocking brick reflection from the driveway in the saddlebag. Amazing CVO paint.
I wish more people would buy black. Makes the red pop even more where ever it goes.
That being said, I'm not a fan of the scarlet red. Looks orange to me.
